The Three Littlest Chicks and the Terrifying Wolf
Once upon a time near there were three little chicks. They loved to run and play in the warm weather. But one day, a big beast came along. He was very hungry and he wanted to eat the babies.
The first chick built a house of hay. The second chick built a house of sticks. And the third chick, she was very clever, built a house of stone.
When the beast came to the first house, he just exhaled and blew and it blew the house down. The first chick ran to his sister's house.
The beast came to the second house and breathed heavily and exerted himself and it blew the house apart. The two chicks ran to their sister's house.
But when the beast came to the third house, he huffed and puffed but it wouldn't move. The babies were sound inside.
Finally, the wolf was too tired to try any longer. He went away hungry.
The three chicks learned that it is important to be strong and to build a good house. They lived happily in the end in their brick house.
Timmy Turtle's Tiny Treasure
Once upon a day, little Timmy Turtle was exploring through the forest. He saw something sparkly under a bush. Timmy gingerly crawled over and looked it.
